The 22nd International Indian Film Academy Awards, also known as the IIFA, was held on 3–4 June 2022, postponed from the original 18–19 March 2022 date, and the 19–21 May 2022 date. Furthermore, it was supposed to be held in 2021, before being postponed a year, along with the 2020 (2021) edition. The awards were held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Best Actor and Actress
This year’s Best Actress Award was given to Kriti Sanon for her performance in the film ‘Mimi’. Actor Vicky Kaushal won the Best Actor Award for the film ‘Sardar Udham’. In his speech, Vicky dedicated this award to the late actor Irrfan Khan, as Irfan was the first to do this role.
Best Supporting Role- Male-Female
Actor Pankaj Tripathi was awarded the Best Performance in a Supporting Role (Male). He got this award for the film ‘Ludo’. At the same time, the Best Supporting Role (Female) award went to actress Sai Tamhankar for the film ‘Mimi’.
Best Debut Award – Male-Female
Ahan Shetty, son of Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty, won the Best Debut Male award for the film ‘Tadap’, while actress Sharvari Wagh won the Best Debut Female award for the film ‘Bunty Aur Babli 2’.
Best Story – Original and Adapted
Director Anurag Basu received this year’s IIFA Best Story (Original) Award for the film ‘Ludo’. At the same time, Kabir Khan and Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan got the award for the film ’83’ for Best Story (Adapted).
The award for Best Music saw a tie between AR Rahman’s ‘Atrangi Re’ and Tanishk Bagchi, Jasleen Royal, Javed-Mohsin, Vikram Montrose, B Praak, and Jani’s ‘Shershah’.
