Suresh Raina retired from international cricket on 15 August 2020. Raina scored 768 runs in 18 Test matches with the help of a century. This middle-order batsman participated in 226 One Day International matches for Team India. During this, Raina scored 5615 runs, which included five centuries. At the same time, in 78 T20 International matches, Raina has 1605 runs in his name. He was a member of the team that won the World Cup in 2011.

Players active in India or domestically cannot participate in foreign leagues and hence it was necessary for Raina to retire to play in T20 leagues around the world. He can be seen playing in South Africa’s new T20 league next year. All six teams of this league are owned by the owners of IPL.
