Indian Predator: The Diary of a Serial Killer Review: The Story of 14 Horrible Murders

There is often one thing in reading and hearing that reality is more surprising than fiction, shocking. Whether you watch Bollywood movies or South cinema or Hollywood, crime stories take the mind into a different maze. If the story is excellent, then after all the screws are resolved in the end, the viewer reaches the ‘mind is shaken’ mode. But suddenly in the news someday such a crime is revealed, which can remove smoke from the mind of a sure-fire crime thriller fan, and shake the parts of the mind. Netflix’s documentary ‘Indian Predator: The Diary of a Serial Killer has a similar story.

About Story-

Ram Niranjan Kol, hearing this name, perhaps no one remembers anything. But when you mention this man’s other name ‘Raja Kolandar’, many people will remember it a lot, especially in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. And even more so to those people who were fully conscious around the year 2000. A journalist had gone missing from the city. The police started the search and after searching, it came to know that the journalist was murdered. Who told? He was the one who had killed, Raja Kolander. When the police recovered the body from his whereabouts, a torso was found, head and penis chopped off. The police officer investigating the case explains in the documentary that Raja used to say He ‘cut off the man’s head. When the police proceed with the investigation, a diary is found, ‘Raja’s Diary. The name of the journalist who was murdered by Raja Kolandar is written in this diary, at number 14. Before that, there are 13 more names. It is further revealed that the king had drunk the brains of two of his victims by boiling them! Many questions arise, such as – How did Ram Niranjan become King Kolandar? Who were the last 13 people? How did he do all this without knowing it? And the biggest question – why did you do it? ‘Indian Predator: The Diary of a Serial Killer’ not only tells the story of Raja Kolandar’s crime but also tries to find an answer to this question. This is the best thing about this documentary.

The first part of ‘Indian Predator’ ‘The Butcher of Delhi’ was released in July. Its story was about the crime of Chandrakant Jha, one of the most dreaded serial killers in the history of the country. The show was fine, but the biggest complaint people complained about was that it did not properly explore the psychology of the criminal.

This complaint has been cleared in ‘The Diary of a Serial Killer. The show has three episodes of 35-40 minutes long. It begins with the journalist’s case and details about his previous murders come to the fore. But along with the story of his crime, Raja, a psychologist, and an anthropologist, also unravels the layers of Kolandar’s social equation and thinking.

The biggest hair-raising moment of this documentary comes when Raja Kolander himself appears in front of the camera. For this conversation inside the prison, when Raja is walking in through the cell door, his movements and body language are very interesting. There is something in his appearance, eyes, way of talking, and full demeanor that when he is on the screen you will want to listen to him with full attention. Almost a mesmerizing feel is in his entire personality.

What’s special about the series?

In ‘Indian Predator: The Diary of a Serial Killer’ along with interviews with people, the on-screen recreation of the entire incident is also lively. Sudeep Nigam’s writing and Dheeraj Jindal’s direction are very engaging. The level of surprise and amazement keeps on increasing from beginning to end. The story of the murders committed by the king, as well as the statements of the relatives of the victim, and the analysis of experts, create an atmosphere that leaves many feeling empty.

Pratham Mehta’s fine cinematography brings life to the low-light shots and maintains tension. Ishaan Chhabra’s score with this is a great combination and keeps the mood of the documentary tied. The play of Colors is also worth noting in the work of editor Saurabh Prabhudesai.

An important warning before watching the show is that the heart is weak, if you feel nauseous after seeing the bloodshed and violence on the screen, then start at your own risk. Otherwise, overall ‘Indian Predator: The Diary of a Serial Killer’ deserves to be counted among the best Indian documentaries on Netflix.

How to Watch Thursday NFL Games on OTT: Los Angeles Chargers vs. Kansas City Chiefs

Thursday Night Football kicks off with the Kansas City Chiefs’ home debut against the Los Angeles Chargers, which will be streamed live on Amazon Prime Video.

For the first time, an entire NFL season will be broadcast exclusively via a streaming service. On Thursday nights, Amazon Prime Video will broadcast 15 games.

Why is this important to Tennessee Titans fans?

The Titans are the only team with two games on Amazon Prime Video on Thursday Night Football. It has been announced that there will be no linear television broadcasting for fans located outside of the Nashville market for Tennessee’s Week 10 game against the Green Bay Packers and its Week 17 game against the Dallas Cowboys, which will both be available on Amazon Prime Video.

This season, you can watch Thursday Night Football games by signing up for Amazon Prime, which costs $14.99 per month, or Amazon Prime Video, which costs $8.99 per month. You should take advantage of the 30-day free trial that is available to everyone.

It happened as a result of an agreement between DirecTV and Amazon. As a result, Thursday Night Football games would be broadcast to thousands of restaurants. It could be the best option for you.

Thus, if you already watch Titans games on NewsChannel 5 (a CBS affiliate) or Fox-17, you can watch them on TNF on a local affiliate (a Fox affiliate). ESPN, for example, will broadcast Tennessee’s Week 2 Monday Night Football game. Fox-17 will broadcast it both locally and nationally.
